This is the most important item on the page, and it goes to the heart of what the site is about.

• No article is a promise, a guarantee or a forecast of what you will earn. The figures in our texts are market benchmarks and examples, not what will land in your account.
• Results depend on your level, niche, language, market, timing and circumstances that we neither influence nor know.
• Success stories are other people’s stories. They show that something is possible, not that it will happen for you.
• Earning from writing carries risk: a client may not pay, a book may not sell, a blog may never gain traffic. The decisions are yours, and so is the risk.

The material and tools on this site are not financial, tax, legal or accounting advice.

That applies especially to the tax calculator: it performs arithmetic on the numbers you entered, using a template you chose. Rates, thresholds, contributions and rules differ between jurisdictions and change over time. Check your country’s current law, or a professional, before you act.

The fee, rate, royalty and book-price calculators likewise show the consequences of your assumptions — not any given platform’s terms today.

About the tools

The tools run in your browser: everything is computed on the page, what you type is never sent to a server, is not stored in localStorage or cookies, and is gone when you close the tab.

That said:

• A result is an estimate based on your inputs. We do not guarantee it is accurate for your case.
• Readability, filler and headline scores describe the form of a text, not its quality. An easy text can be empty; a difficult one can be excellent.
• Where a tool looks for problems it says “our checks found nothing”, never “you are fine”. A tool sees only what it was given.
• The page around the tool is an ordinary site page: it counts views and uses web analytics. That applies to the visit, not to what you typed.
